THE LOCAL AREA

The village of Broughton a historic hamlet, is located on the eastern edge of Milton Keynes, just within the city boundary. Broughton preserves the illusion of being a quiet isolated village. It has never been very big, but it derived some importance from being on the main road from London through Woburn to Northampton, and its single street, though now a cul de sac, is still known today as London Road.

The peaceful area around the church of St. Lawrence and the Linear Park along the Broughton Brook will remain much as they are, and the paintings in St. Lawrence Church probably dating back to the fifteenth century are of particular interest. Brookview Park is conveniently placed on the edge of the village with desirable views across the Linear Parkland and Broughton Brook.

TRANSPORT LINKS
Transport links could not be easier, access to the M1 (junction 14) motorway for London, Northampton and Birmingham is less than a mile away; the A421 and A5 route provides access to Buckingham, Banbury, Oxford, Dunstable, Aylesbury and Cambridgeshire while the M1 motorway moves easily on to the M25 motorway opening the gateway to the South. A fast and frequent train service furnished by Virgin Rail and Silverlink to Euston/London means that commuting into the City of London takes approximately 40 minutes.
Airports at London/Luton, London/Heathrow and Birmingham are within easy reach offering the long haul and shuttle service to many parts of the world.
